Automated Subsea Pig Launcher Lead

About the role

The Automated Subsea Pig Launcher Lead will oversee the engineering, fabrication, integration, delivery and testing of the SAPL system, ensuring it is ready for offshore installation according to project planning.

Key responsibilities

• Follow‑up SAPL contractor activities and guarantee timely delivery of all engineering phases.
• Ensure high‑quality deliverables from concept through pre‑commissioning while respecting local content requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead design and development of the ASPL system in line with industry standards and client specifications.
• Review calculations, simulations and analyses to confirm equipment integrity and reliability.
• Conduct risk assessments, manage technical risks and update risk registers.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams for optimal system delivery, installation and operation.
• Support QA/QC manager on quality matters and monitor contractor performance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with a systems engineering or engineering management background.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in subsea projects and major oil & gas developments.
• Proven experience in design leadership or project management of subsea packages.
• Past involvement in offshore large‑scale projects, preferably with experience in the Caspian Sea.

• Subsea engineering and subsea pigging expertise.
• Automated Subsea Pig Launcher (ASPL) design and integration.
• Process flow diagrams (PFDs), schematics, block diagrams and field layout.
• Flow assurance, reliability/availability modelling.
• Inspection, maintenance, testing and commissioning of subsea equipment.
• Material selection, coatings, cathodic protection and process safety.
• Risk assessment and mitigation.
• ROV operations and offshore installation experience.
