Senior Consultant, M&A Transactions & Valuation

About the role

Deloitte Azerbaijan is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its M&A Transactions & Valuation team. You will work closely with managers, directors and partners on high‑profile buy‑side and sell‑side engagements, gaining deep exposure to financial due diligence and valuation.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in buy‑side and sell‑side financial due diligence and valuation projects.
• Support managers and partners in interactions with senior executives of clients and target companies.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, assess earnings quality, working‑capital needs and deal‑related risks.
• Prepare clear, tailored due‑diligence and valuation reports in PowerPoint.
• Collaborate with advisors across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Contribute to client proposals and presentations.
• Engage in professional learning opportunities to enhance technical and industry knowledge.
• Set personal goals aligned with project objectives and firm expectations.
• Build professional relationships and expand your network within the firm and market.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Master’s degree (MBA or MSc) is a strong advantage.
• Previous experience with a Big 4 accounting firm (audit, transaction services, or valuation).
• Progress toward or completion of ACCA, CPA, or CFA qualifications.
• Excellent written and spoken English with strong business writing skills.
• Fluency in Azerbaijani (written and oral).
• Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel when required.
