Senior Consultant – Business Processes Solutions

About the role

Deloitte Azerbaijan is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Business Processes Solutions team. You will work closely with managers, directors and partners to lead tax and accounting engagements for a diverse portfolio of local and international clients.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise tax and accounting projects and their teams.
• Prepare, examine and analyse reports for state authorities in compliance with current legislation.
• Calculate client tax liabilities and identify tax risks.
• Develop accounting and tax policies and procedures for clients.
• Conduct payroll calculations and generate internal management reports.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and liaise with tax authorities during audits.
• Coach and mentor junior staff, providing on‑the‑job and theoretical training.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Advanced written and spoken proficiency in Azerbaijani and English.
• Strong knowledge of Azerbaijani tax and social‑insurance legislation.
• High level of self‑motivation, strong career aspirations and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Team player with leadership capabilities and demonstrated commitment to work.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Experience with 1C or other accounting software.
• In‑depth understanding of Azerbaijani tax legislation.
• Familiarity with IFRS and US GAAP (advantageous).
