Legal and Compliance Manager – Baku

About the role

SICPA is seeking a Legal and Compliance Manager to join its Baku office. You will act as the primary legal advisor for SICPA Azerbaijan while supporting the Group’s international business activities.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Azerbaijani laws and monitor legislative changes.
• Obtain necessary legal authorisations, permits, certifications and regulatory approvals for SICPA solutions.
• Draft, review and negotiate local commercial agreements and other legal documents.
• Provide legal support to local management on operational and business matters, including HR and employment law.
• Coordinate with external counsel and government authorities as required.
• Maintain corporate governance standards and statutory documentation.
• Draft, review and negotiate international commercial contracts such as sales, service, NDA, partnership and technology agreements.
• Advise Headquarters and international teams throughout the contract lifecycle and support cross‑border projects.
• Identify legal and compliance risks and propose practical, business‑oriented solutions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law and admission to the Bar or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with both private practice and in‑house roles in an international environment.
• Strong knowledge of commercial, corporate and employment law.
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating international commercial contracts.
