Accounting Executive – Full‑Time (Baku)

About the role

The Accounting Executive supports Marriott International's finance function in Baku by ensuring accurate entry of financial data, maintaining records, and preparing essential reports. This full‑time, onsite position is ideal for candidates with a high school diploma and at least one year of accounting experience.

Key responsibilities

• Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper coding.
• Organise, secure, and maintain files and records in line with retention and confidentiality policies.
• Record, store, and analyse information using property software and electronic spreadsheets.
• Maintain accurate spreadsheets for financial and accounting data.
• Complete period‑end closing procedures and generate required reports.
• Prepare and distribute statistical, financial, auditing, and payroll reports.
• Access computerized financial information to answer general and account‑specific queries.
• Classify, record, and summarise numerical data using journals, ledgers, and computer systems.
• Code documents according to company policies and ensure compliance with all procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related accounting or finance experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Professional appearance and strong confidentiality ethic.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property software.
• Experience using electronic spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with computerized financial information systems.
