Senior Director, Global R&D Foods Strategy & Portfolio Management

About the role

The R&D Strategy and Portfolio Management team drives PepsiCo's long‑term profitable and sustainable growth. This senior director role leads Global R&D Foods strategy and portfolio management, partnering with senior leadership to define, prioritize and execute strategic options that balance short‑ and long‑term objectives, risks and costs.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage a portfolio of strategic options aligned with Global Foods priorities.
• Develop and adjust the sector Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and integrate project portfolios with the R&D AOP.
• Implement value‑based portfolio management and enhance portfolio analytics.
• Partner with Finance and HR for budget and resource planning and facilitate competitive intelligence, external benchmarking and best‑practice sharing.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in Food/Beverage or CPG with product and technology development.
• Proven track record of cross‑functional program delivery and senior leadership communication.
• Strong R&D leadership with deep technical credibility and ability to set strategic direction.
• Experience navigating ambiguity, influencing across matrixed organizations, and driving transformational initiatives.
