Field Service Technician

About the role

SICPA is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide second‑level technical support for its global solutions. You will be responsible for complex maintenance, troubleshooting, and on‑site assistance across assigned regions, ensuring the reliability of equipment used in industrial and governmental environments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 2nd‑level support for all technical issues and meet defined service‑level targets.
• Perform on‑site repairs, calibrations, and system monitoring activities.
• Install, configure, optimize, and maintain hardware, software, and applications.
• Coordinate deployments and service activities with other field technicians and operational units.
• Test new releases, system upgrades, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Act as the single point of contact between Level 2 and Level 3 support teams.
• Provide on‑call support outside regular business hours as required.

Required profile

• Technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting equipment in a factory or industrial setting.
• Fluent English (minimum B2 level) with strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and application issues, including log analysis.
• Customer‑oriented mindset, meticulous organization, and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to travel on short notice and undertake mid‑term assignments abroad.

• IT support tools: FTP, SSH, PuTTY, SVN, remote‑access solutions
• Standard IT support procedures and tools
• Basic PLC setup and programming
