Assembly, Repair and Maintenance (AMO) Manager

About the role

As an Assembly, Repair and Maintenance (AMO) Manager you will ensure safe, reliable equipment is delivered to operations in a cost‑effective and efficient manner. You will lead a workshop that rebuilds and requalifies equipment for directional drilling, supporting a global energy leader.

Key responsibilities

• Manage planning, processes and systems to align workshop operations with production schedules.
• Own metrics, measures and targets for the workshop, driving cost optimisation and process improvements.
• Direct repair, testing and assembly of equipment, overseeing assembly, maintenance and overhaul activities.
• Maintain HSE and quality standards for the assigned area and support other shop sections.
• Keep work areas safe, clean and organised according to the 6S checklist.
• Optimise workflow and shop layout for maximum efficiency.
• Coordinate inventory requirements with Materials.
• Develop a yearly operational plan to define departmental initiatives and support projects.
• Communicate with cross‑functional teams to provide project updates and research outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the oilfield industry in a similar capacity.
• Demonstrated knowledge of assembly, repair and maintenance techniques.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a team.
