About the role

The Internal Audit Office is seeking experienced IT auditors to perform and support audits across the bank and its subsidiaries. The role involves ensuring IT audit quality, developing methodologies, and evaluating compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and support audits within the bank and its subsidiaries.
• Perform IT audit assurance functions.
• Develop and improve IT audit standards, methodologies, and normative bases.
• Participate in assessing internal audit compliance with regulatory requirements, standards, and best practices.
• Conduct investigations of fraud cases or support such investigations.
• Evaluate the adequacy of IT risk controls, efficiency of operations, and cost effectiveness.
• Contribute to projects aimed at organizing and improving internal audit activities.
• Review and assess IT infrastructure, policies, and operations.
• Assess risks related to third‑party IT service providers and outsourcing agreements.
• Evaluate business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Verify the adequacy and effectiveness of IT system and infrastructure security.
• Perform remote and on‑site audits, including data and database analysis.
• Prepare audit observation reports with recommendations and action plans.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience in IT Governance or IT Risk.
• Fundamental knowledge of IT system administration or networking.
• Proficiency in operating system environments.
• Relevant higher education and/or certifications.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Impartiality, independence, and objectivity.
• Fluency in Azerbaijani, English, or Russian (written and spoken).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data‑analysis tools.
• Clean criminal record.
