Doorman

About the role

An Accor hotel in Baku is looking for a doorman to welcome guests, manage luggage and look after the front entrance and concierge area. The position is full-time and involves friendly, prompt service to guests at all times.

Key responsibilities

• Open the main door of the hotel and greet guests on arrival and departure, escorting them to the right destination
• Handle luggage quickly and safely on arrival, during the stay and on departure, including the luggage store, and cover every piece with a baggage claim tag
• Park guests' and visitors' vehicles in the designated hotel parking area
• Issue guest room key cards and check the hotel's accident prevention policies
• Report unusual occurrences or requests to the Concierge desk and keep the Logbook updated
• Check the hotel's situation, occupancy, groups and VIPs, and assist guests with their luggage
• Handle guest complaints and requests, liaising with the relevant departments and reporting to the Assistant Front Office Manager / Front Office Manager
• Maintain the Concierge Desk area clean, safe and hygienic, and hand over shift information to the next team
• Stay alert to fire and first aid procedures and attend scheduled training

Required profile

• Fluent English, spoken and written
• Ability to handle many tasks in a busy, changing environment while staying calm
• Flexible working hours, including overnight shifts
• Previous customer service experience is an asset
• Smart, well-groomed and friendly, with a cheerful disposition
